Ford Falcon Friends
Owner's Guide

How to use Falcon Friends

A free clubhouse for classic Ford Falcon owners — your garage, the community feed, clubs, cruises, the marketplace, member spotlights, a game, and a VIN decoder. Here's how to get rolling.

SECTION 1

Install it to your home screen / desktop

Falcon Friends is a web app — no app store needed. Installing it gives you a real icon, full-screen launch, and it keeps working even with no signal. Visit ford-falcon.com first, then follow your device below.

iPhone & iPad (Safari)
  1. Open ford-falcon.com in Safari (not Chrome — only Safari can install on iOS).
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an up-arrow, at the bottom or top).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add in the top corner. The Falcon icon lands on your home screen.
Android (Chrome)
  1. Open ford-falcon.com in Chrome.
  2. If you see the "Add Falcon Friends to your home screen" bar at the bottom, tap Add — done.
  3. No bar? Tap the menu (top right) → Install app or Add to Home screenInstall.
Computer (Chrome or Edge — Mac & Windows)
  1. Open ford-falcon.com.
  2. Look at the right end of the address bar for the install icon (a small monitor/screen with a down-arrow). Click it → Install.
  3. No icon? Open the menu → Cast, Save and Share (or Apps) → Install Ford Falcon Friends…
  4. It opens in its own window and gets a Dock/Taskbar icon like any app.

Safari on Mac: use the Share button → Add to Dock.

Already on the site, you may also see a built-in "Add" button along the bottom — tapping that does the same thing on phones and computers that support it.
SECTION 2

Sign in (no password)

You can browse everything without signing in. To post, RSVP, sell, or save your garage to the cloud, sign in — it takes one tap and there's no password to remember.

  1. Tap the round avatar in the top-right corner.
  2. Enter your email and submit.
  3. Open the email from Falcon Friends and tap the magic link. It signs you in and brings you back.
Until you sign in, your garage is saved only on that device. Sign in on each device to sync the same garage everywhere.
SECTION 3

🅖My Garage — how rare is your Falcon?

Build your Falcon from the dropdowns and the app tells you roughly how many were made like it.

  1. Pick, in order: Generation → Year → Body → Trim → Paint. Each choice narrows the next.
  2. Read the rarity line — e.g. "1 of ~N built."
  3. Give it a nickname and tap Add to my Garage.

Got an Econoline?

Flip the 🦅 Falcon / 🚐 Econoline toggle. Econoline figures were never published, so instead of a fake number you'll get an honest "estimate unavailable" plus a spotting cue for that year.

Signed in, your garage syncs to the cloud automatically. Signed out, it lives on your device.
SECTION 4

📣Feed — post as your car

SECTION 5

🏁Clubs — find your chapter

Browse the Falcon Club of America and its chapters, grouped by region. Each chapter shows its area and a link to its website. Use it to find the group nearest you.

SECTION 6

🚗Cruises & Meetups — gather the cars

Posting a meet

  1. Choose the type (Cruise, Meetup, Cars & Coffee, Show, Tech Day) and the format: In person, Virtual, or Hybrid. Virtual/Hybrid reveals a field for your Zoom/Meet link.
  2. Set title, date & time, location, and an optional meet point.
  3. Co-hosting chapters (optional): hold ⌘/Ctrl and pick one or more FCA chapters to put on the meet — they show as chips on the card. Great for Regional/National events.
  4. Repeats: leave it "Does not repeat," or pick Weekly, Every 2 weeks, or Monthly (same weekday — e.g. every 3rd Saturday). The card always shows the next upcoming date.

RSVP

On any meet, choose which of your Falcons you're bringing, then tap Going / Maybe / Can't. The lineup shows who's coming and in what.

SECTION 7

🏷️Market — buy, sell, swap

The app is free with no ads. The marketplace is just a board — buyers and sellers arrange payment and shipping between themselves.
SECTION 8

📰Magazine — Member Spotlights

Tell your Falcon's story, in the spirit of The National Falcon News.

  1. Write a headline and optional subhead.
  2. Pick which Falcon it's about and your city/state for the byline.
  3. Write the story — the find, the build, the road.
  4. Add photos; the first photo becomes the cover. Publish.

Long stories collapse with a Read more link, and extra photos appear as a gallery below.

SECTION 9

🎲Games — Name the Year

You get a clue from a Falcon (or Econoline) milestone year; pick the right year from four buttons. Build a streak — your best is saved on your device. Signed in, beat your best and you land on the 🏆 Top streaks leaderboard.

SECTION 10

🔎VIN Decoder

Type the warranty number from your title or driver's-door tag. A 1960–70½ Falcon VIN is 11 characters, like 3H02U110532.
