Install it to your home screen / desktop
Falcon Friends is a web app — no app store needed. Installing it gives you a real icon, full-screen launch, and it keeps working even with no signal. Visit ford-falcon.com first, then follow your device below.
- Open ford-falcon.com in Safari (not Chrome — only Safari can install on iOS).
- Tap the Share button (the square with an up-arrow, at the bottom or top).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add in the top corner. The Falcon icon lands on your home screen.
- Open ford-falcon.com in Chrome.
- If you see the "Add Falcon Friends to your home screen" bar at the bottom, tap Add — done.
- No bar? Tap the ⋮ menu (top right) → Install app or Add to Home screen → Install.
- Open ford-falcon.com.
- Look at the right end of the address bar for the install icon (a small monitor/screen with a down-arrow). Click it → Install.
- No icon? Open the ⋮ menu → Cast, Save and Share (or Apps) → Install Ford Falcon Friends…
- It opens in its own window and gets a Dock/Taskbar icon like any app.
Safari on Mac: use the Share button → Add to Dock.
Sign in (no password)
You can browse everything without signing in. To post, RSVP, sell, or save your garage to the cloud, sign in — it takes one tap and there's no password to remember.
- Tap the round avatar in the top-right corner.
- Enter your email and submit.
- Open the email from Falcon Friends and tap the magic link. It signs you in and brings you back.
🅖My Garage — how rare is your Falcon?
Build your Falcon from the dropdowns and the app tells you roughly how many were made like it.
- Pick, in order: Generation → Year → Body → Trim → Paint. Each choice narrows the next.
- Read the rarity line — e.g. "1 of ~N built."
- Give it a nickname and tap Add to my Garage.
Got an Econoline?
Flip the 🦅 Falcon / 🚐 Econoline toggle. Econoline figures were never published, so instead of a fake number you'll get an honest "estimate unavailable" plus a spotting cue for that year.
📣Feed — post as your car
- Tap Post as ▾ to post in the voice of one of your garage Falcons.
- Tag it UpdateQuestionBuild so others know what they're looking at.
- Add up to four photos with the 📷 button — they're resized automatically.
- Like and comment on anyone's post.
🏁Clubs — find your chapter
Browse the Falcon Club of America and its chapters, grouped by region. Each chapter shows its area and a link to its website. Use it to find the group nearest you.
🚗Cruises & Meetups — gather the cars
Posting a meet
- Choose the type (Cruise, Meetup, Cars & Coffee, Show, Tech Day) and the format: In person, Virtual, or Hybrid. Virtual/Hybrid reveals a field for your Zoom/Meet link.
- Set title, date & time, location, and an optional meet point.
- Co-hosting chapters (optional): hold ⌘/Ctrl and pick one or more FCA chapters to put on the meet — they show as chips on the card. Great for Regional/National events.
- Repeats: leave it "Does not repeat," or pick Weekly, Every 2 weeks, or Monthly (same weekday — e.g. every 3rd Saturday). The card always shows the next upcoming date.
RSVP
On any meet, choose which of your Falcons you're bringing, then tap Going / Maybe / Can't. The lineup shows who's coming and in what.
🏷️Market — buy, sell, swap
- List a Car, Part, Literature, or Other. Set a price, or leave it blank for "Contact / make offer."
- Add condition, location, photos, and details — put your contact info (email/phone/handle) in the details, since there's no built-in messaging yet.
- On your own listings, tap Mark sold (greys it out) or Delete.
📰Magazine — Member Spotlights
Tell your Falcon's story, in the spirit of The National Falcon News.
- Write a headline and optional subhead.
- Pick which Falcon it's about and your city/state for the byline.
- Write the story — the find, the build, the road.
- Add photos; the first photo becomes the cover. Publish.
Long stories collapse with a Read more link, and extra photos appear as a gallery below.
🎲Games — Name the Year
You get a clue from a Falcon (or Econoline) milestone year; pick the right year from four buttons. Build a streak — your best is saved on your device. Signed in, beat your best and you land on the 🏆 Top streaks leaderboard.
🔎VIN Decoder
Type the warranty number from your title or driver's-door tag. A 1960–70½ Falcon VIN is 11 characters, like 3H02U110532.
- Model year and assembly plant decode for certain.
- Body and engine codes are year-specific — the decoder shows the raw code and links to the authoritative Ford Falcon Registry for that year.
- Paint, trim, build date, DSO, axle and transmission live on the door data plate, not the VIN.
- Tap Add it to my Garage to jump straight to the rarity engine.
Good to know
- Free forever — no ads, no subscription.
- Works offline once installed — your garage and the game run with no signal.
- Your garage stays on your device until you sign in, then it syncs.
- Production figures are estimates drawn from the registry data — close, not gospel.
- Trouble? If something looks stale after an update, fully close the app/tab and reopen it.
